Rabbit Leaping

Bring the magic of folklore and the bold strokes of traditional printmaking into your space, an exclusive artist collaboration between Haustile and renowned artist, Daren Magee. This striking porcelain ceramic tile transforms a classic relief-print motif into a durable, architectural statement piece. This tile features a dual face, both inverted of each other.

Captured mid-leap, a spirited hare bounds across a midnight landscape. Magee’s signature linocut aesthetic is on full display, featuring intricate hand-carved textures—from the delicate dots and hatching on the hare’s coat to the stylized, fern-like flora below. The scene is framed by a radiant celestial sun and a scatter of four-pointed stars. Rendered in a creamy off-white against a deep, moody charcoal background, this design offers high-contrast drama and timeless folk-art charm.

Perfect for creating a striking focal point in your home, Rabbit Leaping is ideal for a variety of interior spaces. It brings a touch of whimsy to kitchen backsplashes and fireplace surrounds, serves as a captivating conversation piece in a powder room feature wall, and scales beautifully for custom mural installations.

Ultimately, this tile isn’t just a surface; it’s a piece of art that bridges the gap between heritage craft and modern interior design, bringing a sense of storybook wonder and bold graphic appeal to any room. Available in 8" x 8" and 12" x 12".

Real Fun, Wow!

Daren Thomas Magee is an Ojai, California-based freelance illustrator, muralist, and designer. The aim of his work is to speak to the space between imagination and reality. His hope is to leave you to float off in that liminal space into someplace entirely new. He follows his intuition by creating something new every day and taking guidance from the people he trusts.

Magee's work pulls elements from natural and supernatural sources making any floor or wall a statement piece. Not only are the designs whimsical and abstract but the shapes and textures are grounded and earthy.
