Meet Daylia
Account Manager | Tile Matchmaker | Playlist Connoisseur

If you’ve ever reached out to Haustile, there’s a good chance Daylia was on the other end—ready with thoughtful questions, great taste, and maybe even a music rec or two. As our Account Manager, she’s all about building genuine relationships and helping people bring their tile visions to life. One day she’s diving into a fast-moving commercial project, the next she’s handpicking samples for someone’s dream home.

Daylia also plays a big role in shaping how we tell the Haustile story, teaming up on creative campaigns and marketing ideas. We sat down to chat with her about what makes her tick—spoiler: she loves plants, playlists, and mid-century tile magic. Here’s what she had to say.

What do you do at Haustile?

I’m the Account Manager at Haustile, which means I handle the full sales cycle from building relationships with designers, architects, our direct-to-consumer clients, etc., to closing deals and offering personalized support along the way. I also contribute to marketing initiatives, helping shape how we tell our brand story and collaborating with the team on creative campaigns and outreach.

What is unique about selling design-forward tiles?

It’s selling art with a functional twist. You’re not just moving a product but helping someone bring a vision to life. Our tiles are expressive and playful, so there’s a creative energy to every project. But because it’s a building material, you need to balance aesthetics with performance and logistics. That intersection is where the magic happens.

You love music, what have you been listening to recently?

What I’m listening to changes every single day, multiple times a day just based on my mood – I’m always on the hunt for new music. When I’m working, I typically listen to the likes of Khruangbin, Glass Beams, and Arc De Soleil. Here’s an 8ish hour playlist I made if that’s your vibe too: why waste time say lot word when few word do trick? (and yes, this is a reference to Kevin from The Office).

What is your favorite tile or collection at Haustile?

It’s incredibly hard to choose. I’m a huge mid-century modern lover, so I’ve been dreaming of Billie in Julia and Ooze in Wildflower for my dream home. I’m also a dedicated plant mom – if you ever hop on a virtual call with me you’ll see that my office is a jungle – so I envision Bonded in Growth in my future dream sunroom amongst my plants.

You are really into the outdoors. Why is getting time outside important to you?

Being outside helps me reset and sparks a lot of creative inspiration. Whether it’s a hike, camping, a music festival, or just catching the golden hour, nature brings me back to myself and grounds me. It clears my head, helps me destress, and reminds me to be present. It’s essential, especially when you work in a fast-paced or screen-heavy job.

What is your superpower?

Empathy and adaptability, both inside and outside of work. I can usually get a strong sense of what someone needs and meet them where they are. Whether that’s a stressed designer with a tight deadline or a client who needs more hands-on tile education, I know how to shift gears and connect in a way that builds trust. I’m also the go-to planner and problem solver amongst my friends and family, who sometimes call me “Father Wallace” and have a ridiculous catch phrase of “What Would Daylia Do?”

Do you have any hidden hobbies?

I love flow arts, yoga, and dancing. Movement helps me energize and center, so I see it as an essential part of my day. I’m an avid reader – I started a book club that is coming up on our 2nd anniversary. I’m also a film buff, photography enthusiast, thrifting queen, and concert/festival lover.

What do you love about working at Haustile?

I love how dynamic it is. Every day is different – one day I’m problem-solving for a fast-moving commercial project, the next I’m curating samples for someone’s dream home. I also love the people I work with (I’m not just saying this because Lindsay is my aunt either). It’s a small, passionate team, and everyone genuinely cares about the product and our customers.

Does working in a women-led environment shape your experience at Haustile?

Absolutely, and in the best way. There’s a strong sense of collaboration and understanding in the way we work and communicate. I feel like I can show up as my whole self, and that encourages creativity and resilience. It also makes me proud to be a part of a company that’s redefining what leadership and success look like in this industry.
